This Amazon Prime Day, look for items that will bring you joy

Amazon Prime Days are upon us and there are so many great deals to be had. Dinner Table Doctor and I are not in the market for anything specific this year, but in the past, we have scored some excellent deals on Prime Days. If you have checked out the Entertaining and Décor section of my blog, you’ll know that there are many products found on Amazon which I use and recommend. Here are a few more products DTD and I use and enjoy. I don’t know if any of these are deeply discounted for Prime Day, but I do know that I use each and every one of them and each brings me joy! Here’s wishing the same to you –fill your home with items that make your life easier or at least make you smile.
The Original Press from Vintage Kitchen: This simple lemon juicer was a Mother’s Day gift for me from DTD. It is my new favorite kitchen item. I am addicted to drinking lemon water ever since I finally gave up Diet Coke. This stylish juicer looks great on the counter and gets all the juice out of a lemon with very little effort, a plus for me since I have weak noodle arms. I absolutely love it.
Boho Pillow Covers: I have eight of these outdoor pillow covers. I initially purchased a few for my patio daybed pillows which were looking dingy but still had great stuffing. I loved the look of them so much that I decided to get more for inside the house as well. They zip right over the plain old pillows I already had and add a Bohemian flair.
Granite Mortar and Pestle: For many years DTD and I have used a little marble mortar and pestle but always complained about the size. I finally invested in a large granite version as a Father’s Day gift, and we use it all the time. It is heavy, so it remains on the countertop. Luckily it looks cool even when not in use!
Coffee Maker Mat: DTD and I love our coffee maker, but we realized we are also kind of messy people. Every time we fill the water or the bean canisters, we spill on our pantry countertop. Then I found out cute mats made to go under the coffee maker actually exist! It is adorable and makes cleaning up a breeze.
The One Wine Glasses: DTD and I also love our wine and we have tried many different glasses. These are just the right size and shape for enjoying the perfect wine with the one you love. Even though they’re advertised as “break resistant,” we have broken a few through the years. I’m so happy they are still available, because we just ordered another set to have some extras.
Wooden Plant Stand: We have a bay window in our kitchen that is the perfect place for plants. I used to have them lined up on the floor, but it was getting a bit crowded. This cool plant stand was the perfect solution!
Multi Globe Floor Lamp: I just love the way this lamp looks from the street at night. The fact that it also looks great from the inside plus provides a ton of ambient light makes it even better. Interesting lighting sources can really elevate the look of a home. I have a whole post about my lamps, which you can read here.
Reading Journal: More than once, I have started a book only to realize a few chapters in that I have already read it! I guess this is a part of getting old, although my memory has always been a little spotty. My daughters asked for reading journals for Christmas and I realized this is exactly what I need as well. There’s something about taking the time to write about the characters, plot and impressions of a story that make it stick with you. I record memorable quotes and decide what I like or dislike about a novel to jog my memory, especially when I’m recommending reading material for friends and family.
Electric Bidet: I have an entire post about my bidet and how much it means to me. I cannot stress enough how a bidet will change your life. An electric version fits right on an existing toilet, but you do need a nearby outlet. The heated seat and heated water are so worth the extra effort.
Bidet: We also have a non-electric bidet which can very easily be attached to any toilet seat. This is a great gateway version to see if you like it before investing in an electric model. Trust me – once you have a bidet you will wonder how you could possibly have gone without one all these years!
Outdoor Heater: We purchased this propane heater a few years ago during the pandemic to extend the possibility of outdoor entertaining during the fall and winter months. A few years later, we still enjoy using it. It is beautiful and functional and adds a very festive and sophisticated atmosphere to our patio.
Fire Glass Beads: To cap off our outdoor entertaining, we also added some colorful glass beads to our propane wine barrel firepit. They look great even when the fire isn’t lit. I love the colors.
Make the most of Prime Day
These are just a few things DTD and I have purchased through Amazon. I have no idea if they will be discounted on Prime Day, but we have definitely been happy with each purchase.
